Greenbrier, Tennessee, located 23 miles north of Nashville in Robertson County, was incorporated in 1937 and is governed by a Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Located close to major shopping and entertainment venues, Greenbrier offers a small, friendly community without losing the amenities of a big city.

The primary function of the police department of the City of Greenbrier and the reason for its existence is to provide law enforcement through the protection of life and property, maintaining social order and enforcing the laws of the State of Tennessee and the Ordinances of the City of Greenbrier.
